"VPro Technology" — an example of emerging technology.

Vpro technology is a chip in your newer computers that talks to remote management software on PCNS management servers.

The Vpro chip in your computer allows the management server at PCNS to wake it up from a sound sleep to apply patches on certain nights.

The technology is not really useful until all (or most) of your computers have the chip.

For now, we are waiting for attrition (buying new computers in the normal cycle with the Vpro chip) to enable this technology.
